Echo Cardiography

Echo Cardiography

Echocardiography or  2D-echo is a painless test that uses sound waves to create moving pictures of your heart and can show structural abnormality if any present. This test allows your doctor to monitor the shape & size of the heart and how well the chambers & valves are functioning. Echo can pinpoint areas of the heart muscle that aren’t contracting well because of poor blood flow or injury from a previous heart attack. It can detect blood clots inside the heart and fluid buildup in the sac around the heart.

A doctor may recommend this test if you have signs and symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling in the legs, which are possible signs of a heart disease. Echo test is supportive in not only diagnosing major heart issues but also monitoring improvement.

At Universal diagnostics following echocardiography tests are performed
